WELCOME
• 7 overnight stay in a charming farm house immersed in nature with familiar atmosphere.

TREKKING TOURS
• This package is especially offered to fans of walks and trekking who want to discover the most fascinating hidden places of our region.
• Three excursions on foot to the following destinations: “Pietracassia” Fortress, Montecatini Val di Cecina and the Copper Mine with practical workshop, the Larderello and its natural fumaroles.
• A professional official nature guide will be at your disposal to choose the most suitable routes for you and will guide to better appreciate these enchanting places that you could hardly discover on your own.
• Pietracassia is the name of a place where there used to be an important fortress during the Middle Ages. Today you can see only the ruins of this ancient castle built on the top of a rock dominating the valley. Form the flat land you will walk on the wood path up the rock which is 532 meters of altitude
• the Copper mine in Montecatini. This mine is surely one of the most ancient mines of Italy and certainly was already used by Etruscans. It is located near the village of Montecatini Val di Cecina, that still preserves the ancient tower and palaces dating back to the Middle Age, when the mine helped developing local agricultural activity and wealth. In the disused mine today you will find a Museum showing the past mine workers’ life. And you can also create your own objects using several materials like copper and traditional tools.
• the Fumaroles in Larderello can be visited in the most important geothermic area in Italy, where thanks to this natural processes electricity can be produced. The visitor will see a unique landscape. Water steam and other gases are emitted by a powerful natural pressure, the ground is very warm, huge refrigerating towers dominate the hills: everything seems so unreal that the area is also called “Devil’s valley”. You will have the chance to visit the museum dedicated to this natural power to get more information about this spectacular geothermic area.

WINE TASTING
• Ready to visit the estate! Together with the person in charge for the agricultural production, you will visit the farm. First you will have a interesting walk among the vineyards learning a lot about the history of the farm, the characteristics of its produce and the methods of cultivation. Afterwards you will enter the wine cellar and the owner will explain you the processes of the wine making. Eventually you will taste the excellent wines (chianti and Igt ) and extra virgin olive oil produced there. The wine tour also includes the visit to an Etruscan grave belonging to the estate.
• At the end of your stay you will receive a nice gift.

Notes:
• The welcome dinner is usually at the farm house, but in case there are no enough guests, the kitchen will be closed and we will book for you in another typical restaurant nearby.
• The double rooms are all en-suite. The apartments have got one or more bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 or more bathrooms. Some apartments for 2 people are studio apartments. In some 1 bedroom apartments we can add 1 or two extra beds for children 4-12 and baby cots.
• If you desire to book the service “car + chauffeur” for tours and transfers, prices are from 30,00 euro per person. Ask for an estimate.
